CDL A Truck Driver

We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious CDL A Truck Drivers to join our growing construction team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a respected company in the construction and skilled trades industry, where your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of critical projects. Our drivers play a vital role in ensuring materials and equipment are delivered safely and on time to various job sites.

Responsibilities

- Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport construction materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safe operating conditions
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations
- Secure loads properly using appropriate tie-down equipment and techniques to prevent shifting or damage during transport
- Navigate to various construction sites using GPS and written directions while adhering to designated routes
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues
- Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations and safety protocols
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Load and unload materials as needed, operating forklifts or other equipment when required
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior
- Adapt to changing schedules and routes based on project needs and weather conditions

Requirements

- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past three years
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and hours of service requirements
- Experience operating dump trucks, flatbeds, or other construction-related vehicles preferred
- Ability to safely operate in various weather and road conditions
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and varying shifts as projects demand
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS systems
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
