Human Resources Administrator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Administrator to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in supporting our HR department's daily operations and ensuring smooth administration of employee-related processes. The ideal candidate will be organized, personable, and committed to maintaining confidentiality while providing exceptional service to our employees and management team.

Responsibilities

- Maintain and update employee records ensuring accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations
- Process new hire paperwork, including employment verifications, background checks, and onboarding documentation
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including scheduling orientations and conducting exit interviews
- Administer employee benefits programs and serve as a point of contact for benefits-related inquiries
- Assist with payroll processing by collecting and verifying timesheets, attendance records, and leave requests
- Prepare HR-related correspondence, reports, and presentations as needed
- Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Coordinate training sessions and maintain training records for all employees
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
- Assist with performance management processes, including tracking review cycles and maintaining documentation
- Support workplace safety initiatives and maintain required safety documentation
- Process employee status changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic HR files in accordance with retention policies
- Assist with special HR projects and initiatives as assigned

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources or administrative support role
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment law
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work product
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in decision-making
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
