We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our organization. This position plays a critical role in evaluating and determining accurate cost projections for soil operations projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all estimates are comprehensive, competitive, and aligned with industry standards while supporting our commitment to sustainable agricultural practices.

Responsibilities

The Project Estimator will prepare detailed cost estimates for soil operations projects, including land preparation, soil amendment, erosion control, and related agricultural activities. This position requires conducting thorough site assessments and analyzing soil condition reports to determine project scope and resource requirements. The estimator will calculate material quantities, labor hours, equipment needs, and associated costs for various soil operation projects.

Additional responsibilities include reviewing project specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to ensure accurate interpretation of project requirements. The estimator will collaborate with agronomists, soil scientists, field supervisors, and project managers to gather necessary information for comprehensive estimates. This role involves researching and maintaining current knowledge of material costs, equipment rental rates, and labor expenses specific to agricultural soil operations.

The position requires preparing bid proposals and presenting estimates to management and clients in a clear and professional manner. The estimator will maintain detailed records of all estimates, including assumptions, calculations, and supporting documentation. Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of experience in project estimation, preferably within the agriculture, forestry, or related industries. Demonstrated expertise in soil operations, including knowledge of soil types, preparation methods, and agricultural land management practices is essential. Strong proficiency in estimation software, spreadsheet applications, and cost analysis tools is required.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and survey data. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all calculations and documentation is mandatory. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
