Associate Photographer

Wilde Sparrow Photography Co. is seeking a passionate and talented Associate Photographer to join our team on the Big Island and Maui. If you love capturing beautiful moments, connecting with people, and working in stunning beach settings, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

The Role:

As an Associate Photographer, you’ll lead fun, relaxed portrait sessions for families and couples (no weddings!) while embodying the Wilde Sparrow brand style. No editing or culling required, just a crystal-clear focus on delivering an exceptional client experience and stunning beach memories to our treasured clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct professional photo sessions in natural light, primarily on beaches.
• Maintain prompt, clear communication with our booking team regarding availability.
• Ensure reliable attendance; punctuality and enthusiasm are a must!
• Complete mandatory training (videos + in-person session on the Big Island).
• Keep photography equipment in excellent condition.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 25+ sessions as a lead photographer (families/kids preferred).
• Gear: Professional mirrorless cameras with dual card slots (required) + professional portrait lenses.
• Required Availability: Summer + peak holiday seasons (Nov–Jan) for 2–3+ sessions/week.
• Soft Skills: Outstanding people skills, adaptability, and a client-first mindset.
• Logistics: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and local residency (or proof of relocation plans).
