This is an in-person position in the Waikoloa area that will be ongoing for a minimum of 6 months. Hours
Full-time, Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm
Location
Waikoloa, Big Island
Pay
$23 to $24 an hour
Responsibilities
- Accurately balance and complete daily cash reports
- Take customer orders and provide high-quality customer service
- Assist customers in person and by phone, addressing questions regarding billing, payments, conservation, and water quality
- Perform routine clerical work, including filing, scanning, collections, processing payments, scheduling appointments, and compiling reports
- Operate standard office equipment and use computer spreadsheet programs
- Handle major cashiering duties, including taking payments, processing credit card transactions, balancing cash drawers, and preparing bank deposits
- Edit meter readings, write and resolve service orders, fold and stuff bills as requested
- Update customer accounts and correspond with customers regarding metered billing status
- Scan and save service orders, file customer and system service orders
- Participate in the Company's Continuous Improvement Process
- Perform other similar duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Five years of customer service experience in an administrative or clerical capacity
- Excellent customer service skills with a pleasant and professional manner
- Availability to work extended hours as required for customer needs
- Valid State Driver's License
- Proficiency in accounting skills for compiling adjustments and completing deposits
- Fast and accurate data entry skills
- Proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Proficiency in handling and balancing cash
- Familiarity with office methods and equipment, including filing systems
- Understanding of customer service principles and practices
- Capability to manage multiple tasks accurately and maintain a positive attitude
- Organized and accurate in performing procedures
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Logical and creative thought processes for developing solutions
- Ability to prioritize and perform various duties with accuracy and speed under time-sensitive deadlines
