Maintenance Supervisor (100367)

Oversee the maintenance of high-end vacation properties in the North Kona area! This is a great opportunity with excellent pay and benefits.

Full-time, 8:00am-5:00pm

Location

Waikoloa, Big Island

Pay

$28 to $30 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all maintenance tasks and assignments are performed according to standards.
  • Ensure all accommodations and facilities are completely prepared and fully maintained.
  • Inform supervisor of work to be completed by outside vendors who are licensed and bonded to perform specific high-level work.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers and supervise the project for completion according to timeline and budget.
  • Perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance on residence and facility equipment and systems, including plumbing and limited electrical systems. Limited repairs or replacement of electrical switches, receptacles, fuses, small light fixtures, and vacuum outlets.
  • Adjust thermostats to maintain desired temperature.
  • Hang pictures, bulletin boards, cabinets.
  • Perform general painting and other miscellaneous work throughout the resort.
  • Use basic residential Information Technology (IT) knowledge to troubleshoot challenges with phones, internet, internet routers, wireless connectivity, televisions and electronic keyless entry systems.
  • Maintain supplies, inventory and cleanliness of offices.
  • Maintain assigned vehicle gas and fluid levels. Advise Front Office Manager of special vehicle needs.
  • Enter accurate daily records into mobile work order management system.

Qualifications

  • Any applicable technical licenses or degrees preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of basic maintenance training or work-related experience.
  • Supervisory aptitude or experience.
  • Valid Hawaii driver's license.
  • CPR and Standard First Aid certification preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of repair and replacement including doors, windows, walls, flooring, ceilings, roofs, furniture, and cabinetry.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize assignments.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Willing and able to work varied shifts, days, and times.
