Human Resources Payroll Specialist (100659)

Seeking a full-time Payroll Specialist to assist the HR team of a reputable vacation property in Wailea. This role will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for 380 employees. In order to efficiently do so, the ideal candidate will have at least two years of payroll experience. Knowledge of ADP and/or Kronos is a plus!

$22 to $24 an hour, DOE


  • Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 380 employees utilizing ADP Enterprises and shared services.
  • Ensure payroll is processed within the deadlines set by the company and in compliance with applicable laws and company policy.
  • Ensure payments are accurate and reflect the correct pay, including but not limited to shift differentials and paid time off benefits.
  • Process manual checks and special transactions such as retroactive payments, final payments for separating employees, bonuses/commissions, and employee rewards.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information from the Kronos timekeeping system.
  • Respond to wage/salary history requests for verifications of employment, TDI claims, unemployment claims, and worker?s compensation claims.
  • Maintain payroll records in accordance with company?s record retention policies.
  • Maintain data integrity for all employees, maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Address and act on payroll-related concerns with sensitivity and urgency, responding to processing errors in a timely manner, processing rush payments as needed and with the required approvals, and learning from mistakes to improve the overall process.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.


  • Minimum 2 years payroll processing experience.
  • Experience with ADP Enterprise and/or Kronos is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) a must.
  • Highly organized, efficient, and attentive to detail, with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with diverse staff.
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on all projects and assignments with minimal supervision.
