- Conduct home visits in the community to families with children between the ages of 3-5.

- Prepare for home visits that promote literacy and kindergarten readiness, increase parental knowledge of positive parenting practices, and provide referrals to community partners.

- Teach parents how to assist their child in being ready for kindergarten through the implementation of the HIPPY curriculum (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters).

- Document family’s progress.

- Assist in organizing group meetings and attend weekly trainings.

- Possess the ability to understand and perform within the organizational structure of culture-based education (CBE) and family engagement through knowledge of and implementation of Hawaiian culture and dual language opportunities.
