Responsibilities:

- Greet donors with a warm and welcoming attitude
- Assist donors with unloading and processing their donations
- Evaluate and sort donated items for quality and saleability
- Provide donors with tax receipts and express gratitude for their contributions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe donation area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient processing of donations
- Educate donors about our organization's mission and impact
- Assist customers with inquiries about donation policies and procedures
- Operate basic equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks
-Drive a flatbed truck, a box truck, and other company vehicles to pick up donations from both residential and commercial donors
-Maintain company vehicles
-Learn to properly drive and get certified on using a forklift

Requirements:

- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work weekends and some evenings as needed
- Basic computer skills for data entry and processing receipts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Strong communication skills in English
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
