A luxury contracting company in Puako is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Accounting Clerk to support its bookkeeping team and ensure smooth financial operations.

Hours

Part-time, Monday-Friday, 20 hours per week, during business hours 8am-5pm

Location

Waimea, Big Island

Pay

$25 to $30 an hour, Based on Experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform general filing duties to maintain organized and easily accessible records
  • Process accounts payable transactions and manage vendor relationships
  • Handle credit card processing and reconciliations
  • Prepare and manage billing for clients and customers
  • Assist bookkeepers with various accounting tasks as assigned
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting department

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks desktop version
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of financial information
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
