Job Description

A local non-profit is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team and deliver exceptional care and service to their clientele. In this role, you will be responsible for answering phone calls, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Hawaiian culture and be proficient with Microsoft Office.

Hours

Part-time, Monday to Friday, (24 hours a week)

Waimanalo, Oahu

Pay

$17 to $20 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and assist them with any questions they may have.
  • Answer phone calls and relay messages.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication and understanding of patient needs.
  • Conduct outreach and education activities to promote health services within the community.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and other documentation as required.
  • Assist patients in navigating healthcare services, ensuring cultural and linguistic needs are met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of the Hawaiian culture required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in the Hawaiian language is highly preferred.
  • Sensitivity to cultural and linguistic differences.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
