A reputable construction company is seeking a skilled Controller to join their team and oversee the financial operations of the accounting department. In this role, you will manage the company's financial operations including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting.

The ideal candidate will have their bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role.

  • Supervise the accounting department ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.?
  • Lead the budgeting process, monitor financial performance, and report variances.
  • Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting.
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance on growth plans, profitability, cash flow, and cost control measures.
  • Oversee and streamline accounting and financial systems and processes.
  • Assist with financial decision making, providing strategic recommendations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CMA preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role, preferably in the construction or roofing industry.?
  • Previous experience with Sage 300, Sage Intacct, CRM, and Procore is desired.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and accounting software.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and financial forecasting and analysis.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing financial controls and processes.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well individually and in a team setting.
